I got the idea for these when I was making my turtle kitchen scrubbies.

They are made with cotton thread and measure 3 inches from head to tip of tail and 2 inches across.

Hanging Kitchen Towel Wine

Perfect towel for the wine connoisseur.
The top of the towel is crocheted with a button closure to hang from handles or knobs in your kitchen.

The top part of the towel is maroon, but my camera didn't see it that way!

Busy as a bee...

I've been busy crocheting a custom order for three scarfs for my Gather buddy Barbara http://agent99bm.gather.com/
Here's a picture of the first one I've just completed.
Barbara chose a beautiful combo of a color waves and copper fun fur for this scarf. I have to say, it's one of the prettiest scarfs I've made. It measures 6" x 80"

I'm also making one for her in violet, and one in coffee. I will be posting pictures as I finish them.

One down, two to go...

It really gives it a unique look.

It's trimmed with plastic netting that looks like red fun fur.
The bag is about 11 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches tall and a 22 inch strong strap.

Easy Tuna / Noodle Salad Recipe

So easy and makes a great side dish

Ingredients:
1 pkg Egg Noodles
mayo
4 eggs
celery
onion
1-2 cans tuna in water
____________________________
Boil noodles as per directions. While that's going, cut up celery & onions (as many as you want)
Boil eggs (as many as you like) You can even add them in with the noodles if you want.
Drain tuna.
When the noodles and eggs are done, drain & rinse w/cold water. I usually set the eggs in a pot of ice water to cool faster.
When the eggs are cool enough, peel and cut them up-kind of chunky.
Mix everything w/mayo.
*note-after it's been in the fridge for a while, you will most likely need to add more mayo. It really sucks it up.

Color Splash Flat Tote Bag

I crocheted this pretty bag in the round adding splashes of different colors throughout the main color of cherry red. I then outlined it with a pretty maroon, crocheting over a strong cord.
Small tight stitching so nothing will fall out.

The handle is a crocheted cord and is very strong ( the cord may be a nylon/cotton blend, but I don't know for sure).
I added a brass colored buckle as a closure. Not lined.
It measures as follows:
11 inches long
16 inches wide
37 inches long x 1 inch wide Strap
4 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide Front flap
