My Crochet Today Crochet Bible / Book Cover Tote

A pretty trellis stitch made with soft acrylic and wool blend yarn makes a very dressy design on this tote.The button closure is adjustable to accommodate most size book. Inside pockets hold the book in place. I used a Reader's Digest Condensed book for the model, and it still had room to spare.It also has a bookmark sewn in. Sturdy straps. Makes a great gift.

The book tote will give a little, but please measure your book to make sure it will fit this tote.

Some bird pictures I took today

I'm working on my next crochet project, so until that's done i'll share some bird pictures I took today.
The first picture is a hawk. I don't know what kind of bird is in the other two.I was thinking maybe a falcon, or baby hawk.
Update:
A reader helped me identify the bird as an American Kestrel, the smaller and much more common relative of the Peregrine Falcon.

My Crochet Today Recycled Plarn Tote

Here's a cute bag I crocheted from over 100 plastic shopping bags.

The bag is about 17 1/2 inches wide by 13 inches tall .It has a 31 inches long x 2 inches wide strap that I crocheted in a tube, thus giving it double strength and padded comfort.

The top of the bag has a decorative yellow scalloped edge.

It's sure to be a conversation piece.
People will be amazed when you tell them what this bag is made from !

This recycled plastic bag would make an excellent market tote or beach bag.
