My Newest Rag Rug

This rug, made of reclaimed t shirts,is full of color.
The hexagon shape measures approx 40 " at the widest points, and 17 1/2" at the shorter points.
Heavy and very durable.
All of the fabric was washed before used, and hosed off and air dried in the Florida sun after completion to remove any loose fibers.

I would recommend just to hose off and air dry. I hang mine over the railing outside. No bleach. Lay flat and reshape while damp.

Be careful if using on slick surfaces as it does not have a slip proof backing.

Keeping an eye on the tropics

Well there's a system out there that may be too close for comfort. By next Tuesday/Wed, it may come towards Florida as hurricane Matthew. Really too soon to tell just yet. I hate the thought of going through a hurricane . I went through Francis and Jeanne and they were cat 2 & 3. If this one hits, I don't think it will be as bad since it will be coming from the south/west coast area, but still would have to get prepared. Such as bringing in anything loose in the yard-lawn furniture etc. Go shopping, board up windows, probably no electric afterwards, (not good with temps in the 90's and high humidity. So I will just have to keep my fingers crossed. Been pretty lucky so far. Keep your fingers crossed for me :)

My dog is sick

My dog Max is sick. I think it may be a tooth as he's been rubbing his face and whining. He also has started to loose weight. I switched him over to soft food and he has been eatting it (loves it), but now it is giving him bathroom problems. I just had to put my other dog down a couple of months ago with cancer, and had to borrow money for that. I don't have the money for the vet, and there's no animal clinics that will help. Getting ready for the holidays

It has been a pretty slow week

Not a very productive week. I made a few more hanging towels and now just kind of going through some of my patterns to come up with a new project to make. I really should start on my holiday items. I did get a bunch of t shirts today a the thrift store. I just washed them and now waiting for them to dry, so i'll probably start on another rug. I always seem to have a few projects going at once.
