In between working on another rag rug, I made these cute turtle scrub pads. They are crocheted on to nylon scrub pads

My Crochet Today
I worked up a new design for my kitchen scrub pads and made lemon slices. I've only made these so far. I have to get some more yarn and will make some oranges and limes later on. How do you like them? I crocheted this on to nylon scrub pads. The scrub pad is exposed on the other side.

Surprise
There's a little squirrel that I've been watching. It takes the same route several times a day. It climbs up my deck railing, up the trellis, then on to my roof. But today it didn't notice i was standing there waiting with my camera.

Work in Progress
Here's a new rag rug i'm working on. It's a round one made with cotton t shirts. I hope to have it finished tomorrow. I will finish it off with a solid black trim. The indoor lighting isn't that good. The colors are much more vivid, but it gives you an idea.

Update on Max's trip to the vet
Update: Just came back from the vet. Max is good except for his ear. They gave me medicine for it. The teeth look OK, though they could use a cleaning. The vet even threw in the ear cleaning solution for free. His weight is now 33 pounds and gaining. The legs are getting stronger though the vet thinks he may have some arthritis. Basically age related things going on, nothing major. So relieved. While he was there the vet cleaned his ears, treated them and even clipped his nails.
I had to make an unexpected trip to Walmart before I went. I couldn't find his leash or collar.I'm sure it will turn up now that I bought new ones!
Happy Weekend :)

How I get FREE coffee makers and other stuff
I have been getting nice coffee makers totally FREE for several years now. I just save up my points from ZoomPanel and apply them towards the coffee maker. There's many other items you can select from as well. I may just go for a crock pot
this time. The points build up pretty quick and they ship out super fast. Here's the link if you want to check them out. http://www.zoompanel.com/debs1967%40aol.com

Could it be true?
That we are starting to finally open our windows and enjoy a little cooler weather?
This summer has been brutal here in Florida. The AC has been running non stop for months. It's nice to finally be able to open up the windows and enjoy the cooler air at night. I'm doing the happy dance while mooning the electric company-lol. Still just need to hold my breath until the hurricane season ends next month though. A tropical storm just missed us last week. Been lucky so far.
So is your summer coming to an end yet?

Feature Creature
I took a picture of a ver big Dragonfly as it was looking right at me. The freaking thing looks like it has teeth!
The second picture shows how big it is next to a garden hoe handle.
