I didn't get much crocheting done between babysitting a 7 month old and getting dinner together yesterday. I did manage to get some new towels listed in my Artfire store

I just finished a tote bag I crocheted from t shirts.
Nice and roomy with a square bottom and thick strong handle.
Would be great as a market tote or a beach bag.

Approx measurements:
Bag: 17 inches wide x 13 1/2 inches tall
Bottom/width 7 inches (will give a little )
Handle: 27 inches x 3 inches thick (round) Super-strong

I designed this

I made this pinwheel hot pad from t shirts like my rag rugs. How do you like it? Measures 12 inches and is really thick.

Finished up another one of my rag rugs. I have started making them in all different sizes. This one is 36 inches.

I had a bunch of this very bold colored fabric that I wasn't sure what to do with. It was red with green swirls. Didn't really go with anything. I thought about making a couch cover, table cloth etc. But to be honest It was plain ugly. Then I got the idea to cut it up and see how it would come out if I made a rag rug from it. It came out better than I thought. It would look great at Christmas with the red and green. I finished it off with yellow trim.

Here's the newest hexagon rag rug at 44 inches across at the widest points. I crocheted it with many different colored t shirts.

I wonder how many I can finish before the holidays?

My Crochet Today

I have to take a break from crocheting my rag rugs every now and then, so I came up with this idea. A pair of scrubbies made like my rag rugs. I crocheted , I guess what you could call, a tiny rag rug and attached it on to a nylon scrub pad using cotton yarn and added a hanging loop. I'm pretty happy how they came out. I will be making some more in different colors. These are gray with orange trim.

I took this picture of a rainbow as the clouds where approaching off the Atlantic at 5:00 pm. There was no rain hitting the ground. It was a bit windy and a chilly 63 degrees here in Florida
