Lighting does make a diffrence

Lighting does make a big difference when taking pictures. Here are three different pictures i took of the same towel in different light

Direct Sunlight outdoors

Indirect Sunlight outdoors

As you can see, the first picture looks bleached with direct sunlight. The second is too dark, but the last one done in indirect sunlight is much better looking. All I did was crop the images to even them off, then crop again to make the images the same size (square) then re sized the to 900 x 900. You can also add an optional boarder.

Ahhh Warm Weather Again!

Well, the turtles and iguana are all back to their regular housing now that the freezing weather has passed. The temperature right now is 74 degrees  and I'm back in my shorts. I was sitting out on my deck today enjoying the sun when i saw something else was enjoying it as well as it fed on my flowering loquat tree.

A Sneek Peak

I just finished up a new design to go along with my hanging kitchen towels. I have had people tell me that they like my towels, but do not have handles that they could hang them from, only knobs.
 So here's the new towel i just made up to solve that problem.
I will be making some more and listing in my Etsy shop

Unusual House Guests

It does get cold here in Florida. Right now it's a windy 38 degrees and will be going down to 25 with a wind chill of 10-15 degrees. I wrapped up some outside plants , but i know i will probably loose some. The cold will hang around for a few days.
Now as for my house guests, two are my pond turtles. They will be indoors until the chill passes. I have a big plastic pond thing they can hang out in. I've had the bigger one for about 10 years and the smaller one for about 3 yrs. The big one , I found as it was walking down my street towards the main road. The smaller one showed up looking for water during a drought in my neighbors yard.
I also have my sons 5 ft long iguana taking up residence in one of my bathrooms. He usually stays in a big cage in my screen porch. We hung a sign on the door so no one would get a big surprise.

"Tis the Season

I haven't been blogging much due to the fact i've been babysitting a 7 month old and trying to add as much crochet as i can to my shops on Etsy & ArtFire. As much as my boys say they like my crochet, I don't think they want a hanging kitchen towel as a Christmas present. So anyway, i'm trying to make a few dollars with the babysitting and my crochet sales to be able to buy them some things. They are actually not "boys" anymore, they are both in their 20's. Wow, I never actually felt my age until i started babysitting a 7 month old. I have him at his worst as well-teething,diaper rash, shots and a cough. I figured once he's past all of this, it should be a lot easier (wish me luck)
