My Crochet Today

I really haven't done much.I have been visiting someone in the hospital, so I've been more busy with that. I worked on the round afghan a little. I did take some pretty cool pictures of a small blue heron in my neighbors tree and a pileated woodpecker in my tree.

My Crochet Today

I finished up the oval rug order, so now i can start wotking on some other things. I did make more towels and now i'm going to be working on an afghan. I will take my time with it as i am modeling it after my multi colored rag rugs. The pictures not so great since i normally take pictures outside in natural light, but there's a storm coming. I hear the boom-booms in the distance. 

Just joined another make $ at home site

At the suggestion from a friend, I joined Superpoints. She made $20 in one week. I figured it looks easy enough to give it a try. There's different things you can do to get the points, but all she did was spin the wheel and watch some videos.

Current Work In Progress

In between making some more hanging kitchen towels, I have been working on a custom order for an oval rag rug. When it's finished, it will measure approx 5ft x 3 1/2 ft and have a solid black trim. I'm making it from cotton t shirts that i cut into strips then crochet them together.

Another Hot Day

Here in Florida, the temps are really starting to climb. Besides that, we're in a drought and they said on the new yesterday that there are 310 active brush fires. We did get a brief nasty storm last night that lasted about 20 minutes.

How About Some Snake For Breakfast?

I was watching the big white birds  (I think they're called Ibis) poking my neighbors lawn when one of them dug up what appears to be a black racer snake.I didn't know they ate snakes. Sucked it up like spaghetti.

Current Work In Progress

I'm trying something a little different. I'm making an oval rug. Instead of mixing the colors like in my other rugs, this one will have solid rows of mixed colors.I figure i would give it a try. Here it is so far.

Look What Was Hiding On My Camera

I found a couple of close up pictures I took of a baby woodpecker. I was only a couple of feet away for these shots.

Flowers at Sunset

Here's a couple of pictures of flowers i took at sunset today. The first is a Hibiscus. The blooms only last for one day. The second is my marigolds. They look as they're reaching for the sun.
