Bottle Cap Turtle Pincushion

Materials:
Plastic bottle cap approx 1 1/2 inches wide x 3/4 inches tall (ones from liquor bottles work good)
WW Yarn- Green & Brown
Size H hook
Small amt.of fiberfill
"Shell"
with green
Row 1- Ch 3, make 7 scs in 3rd ch fr hook. join
Row 2- ch 1, sc in same as joining, 2 sc shell in ea sc around- 16 scs-join
Rows 3-6 Ch 1,sc in ea sc around joining to 1st sc after ea round. finish off
with brown- shell bottom
Rep same as rows 1 & 2 of shell-don't cut yarn
Joining:
Turn cap so opening is facing up. Stuff with fiberfill. Put "shell" over the cap, covering the fiberfill.
Place shell bottom on bottom of cap.
With brown, sc in same as last sc in bottom and through last row of shell-joining them. sc in net 2 scs of both top and bottom.
in next sc (of both top and bottom ), *work sc,ch2 dc,ch2,sc all in same sc(of both top and bottom ) (leg made)
sc in the next 3 scs, rep from * until 4 legs complete.
Head:
join with a sl st into 1st sc, sl st in next 2 scs,ch 1,turn
work 1 sc in the next 3 scs, ch1 turn
work 1 sc,in first sc,
2sc in next sc
2sc in last sc across first row of head just made.(do not ch 1)
Join to the first sc (working from under the head)
of same row with a sl st-(forms head) Finish. Weave in end.
