Hi Deb, I love the book-tote! I have a pattern that is the same, except for the stitch pattern. And love it the cover I made from it.

It is also great for use as a Kindle tote. I use mine for that now because it keeps the Kindle secure yet allows instant access. And when reading at the doctor's office, you can put it away much easier & faster than the pouches that most people sell for them.

I love the stitch pattern on yours, better than mine~ It's really pretty.

If you add a Kindle Cover tag on the bag at Etsy, you might get more buyers.
I hope it sells well for you.

Hello Debra,

Thanks so much for sharing this pattern! I found this pattern available online as a free pattern last year.

I've made three book totes in the trellis stitch with this pattern, and like them very much.

This particular project actually is what gave me more confidence in venturing more into textured stitches.

Before this pattern I was really intimidated by them, but, your instructions were very clear. Since then I'm venturing into cable patterns and the basketweave stitch. Thanks alot!!

Kind regards,

Crocheting Mom

Hi Debbie,

I posted a comment before, but, don't know what happened. I just wanted to thank you for sharing this crochet pattern.

I found it online last year as a free pattern and made three totes with these. This particular pattern was also the "introduction" for learning textured stitches and cables. Thanks to this pattern it boosted my confidence and made me venture out into more textured stitches.

Thanks for such a great pattern!

Kind regards,

Crocheting Mom
