Here Comes Irma

I got the first tornado alert blasting over the tv at 5:00 this morning. I slept on the couch with the tv on as to drown out the sound of the wind. I think i slept 3-4 hours.
We had one more tornado warning since, but so far so good. The tornados are because we are on what they call the dirty side (right) of the hurricane.

So anyway, i think the winds are around 30 right now with squalls of thunderstorms and heavy rain. The lights are flickering at times, so it won't be long until we loose power. Of course, we can't run the generator until the storm is over which they say won't be until tomorrow morning sometime. So hours of the worst winds overnight. Why do the storms always seem to be overnight?

Anyway, here's a quick picture of the umbrella tree starting to loose it's leaves. It will looks like just a clump of sticks when it's over. It happened before, but at least nothing to worry about. Wish us luck.
