My Crochet Today 1950's Head Wrap

It was before I was born, but I felt like trying to make something from a vintage pattern. Here's a head wrap I found from 1950's.. (Star Hat Book No. 117 Hats & Bags & Sweaters & More! 1950's )
I made it in no. 10 cotton crochet thread in a frosty green. The only thing i did differently to the pattern was i added a even row of single crochet around the whole perimeter. I think it gives it a more finished look, and adds strength. I don't have a model head, so here's the photo from the pattern . Measures approx 5 inches across the middle and 18 inches long. Ties measure approx 7 1/2 inches. Does give a little.
The circles on each end are plastic rings that i crocheted around.

Here's the one i made in frosty green
